Shipping Container Towing

Tandemloc offers several different options when it comes to towing shipping containers.

The AB42000A shipping container towbar features twistlocking ends that quickly secure to the bottom end apertures of ISO 1161 corner fittings and can tow fully loaded 40-foot containers weighing up to 67,200 pounds.

We have twistlock towbars that include up to 20 degrees of rotation to account for differing heights between the towing vehicle and container. We have also developed customized models, including the 6PA which is for towing vehicles that have a connection point lower than standard models, and the 5PA which was retrofitted to fit unique ISO containers and wide carts.

Another option is the Lunette Ring Towbar which incorporates pintle hooks on the ends instead of the twistlocking feature. Browse our selection or let us know if we can help customize a towbar for your application.
