Craven County, North Carolina Special Olympics

A special interest non-profit group that exists to “…provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”

Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN)

Not only was CBN the first Christian television station in Virginia, it was also the first in the nation. Almost 50 years later, no one can dispute that CBN is one of the largest television ministries in the world. Moreover, with its many subsidiary and affiliate organizations, CBN goes beyond the bounds of broadcasting in its mission to reach the world with a message of hope from the Bible.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Havelock, NC Chapter 26

The DAV is a national veterans’ interest nonprofit group whose sole purpose is “empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity…by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America's injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.” Tandemloc, Inc. is located within a 50 mile radius of three Marine Corps installations and supports local veterans by regularly contributing to the local DAV chapter.

Focus on the Family

…a global Christian ministry dedicated to helping families thrive.” Focus on the Family exists to “…provide help and resources for couples to build healthy marriages that reflect God’s design, and for parents to raise their children according to morals and values grounded in biblical principles.” They achieve this through “…radio broadcasts, websites, simulcasts, conferences, interactive forums, magazines, books, counseling and much more.”

Havelock Food Pantry

Tandemloc, Inc. strives to make regular donations to the local food pantry to help those in need of food living within the local community in which our company has been able to grow and thrive.

Homes For Our Troops

A privately funded non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to helping the most seriously injured Veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. Their mission is to build mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post-9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis and/or severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Using more than 10 years of experience building these homes, HFOT has created a unique home design that offers 100% barrier-free living to the Veteran, giving back some of the freedom and independence they sacrificed when they were injured while serving our country.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America

“Founded in 2004 by an Iraq veteran, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) is the first and largest organization for new veterans and their families, with nearly 300,000 members and supporters nationwide. IAVA is a 21st century veterans’ organization dedicated to standing with the 2.8 million veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan from their first day home through the rest of their lives.” The IAVA “…strives to build an empowered generation of veterans who provide sustainable leadership for our country and their local communities… through assistance to veterans and their families, raising awareness about veterans’ issues and advocacy for supportive policy from the federal to the local level.”

The Lighthouse Mission

A ministry whose mission is “…to feed the hungry and help the homeless by sharing God’s love with people in practical ways”. With its beginnings in 1994, the Lighthouse Mission has grown to feed over 1,000 hungry people a week in the Long Island, NY area by feeding the poor with the ultimate goal of empowering them to “…overcome poverty and live purpose-filled lives”.

Operation Blessing's mission is to demonstrate God's love by alleviating human need and suffering in the United States and around the world. Operation Blessing International is ranked as one of the top 75 charities in the USA by the NonProfit Times.

A nonprofit Christian organization “…that is currently working in Benin, West Africa…to provide strategic solutions to third world problems that create lasting change in the lives of people by empowering communities and individuals with sustainable developmental projects.” Their “…purpose is to meet the physical and emotional needs of those communities and individuals, thereby creating a relationship where their spiritual needs can be fulfilled”.

Samaritan's Purse

“Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.”

The Wounded Warrior Project

The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is to raise public awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members to aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
