A privately funded non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to helping the most seriously injured Veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. Their mission is to build mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post-9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis and/or severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Using more than 10 years of experience building these homes, HFOT has created a unique home design that offers 100% barrier-free living to the Veteran, giving back some of the freedom and independence they sacrificed when they were injured while serving our country.
