The "D-Ring and Strap" tie down is an inexpensive, rugged product used on a multitude of cargo transporters, from 1,000 foot ships to
your neighbor's utility trailer.
D-Rings from TANDEMLOC are forged alloy steel with low carbon steel
straps for excellent weldability.
•
We recommend wrapping the welds around the edge of the
straps and avoid heating the D-Ring over 500° F (to prevent
downgrading the material strength properties of the alloy
steel).
•
Please note that the strength ratings expressed are
"ultimate" loads or "Breaking Loads" and not "working loads."
The strength is based on a single
vertical pull, although most applications will result in the
load direction to be at an angle or a compound angle.
•
Please consider the
angle(s) of pull you will encounter with
your application as it increases the strain on the tie down at
any given weight load.

D-RING
& STRAP TYPE 304 STAINLESS STEEL AJ10A00
This product meets Mil Std 209 and is designed for
restraining cargo on military equipment such as tactical
wheeled vehicles. It is referred to as a “cargo tie-down
provision” within the Mil Standard and meets the
applicable requirements of Mil Std 209. Type 304
Stainless Steel offers excellent corrosion resistance
over conventional carbon and alloy steel tie downs. Mil
Standard 209 excludes this tie-down as an internal cargo
tie down for aircraft or ISO cargo containers. This item
may not be used for lifting unless proof tested.
D-RING
& STRAP TYPE 304 ALLOY STEEL AJ12A00
Our alloy steel D-Rings are currently available in two
sizes with capacities to 17,700 lbs. This product meets
Mil Std 209 and is designed for restraining cargo on
military equipment such as tactical wheeled vehicles. It
is referred to as a “cargo tie-down provision” within
the Mil Standard and meets the applicable requirements
of Mil Std 209. Mil Standard 209 excludes this tie-down
as an internal cargo tie down for aircraft or ISO cargo
containers. This item may not be used for lifting unless
proof tested.
We can
proof test D-Rings per your request for an additional
charge. (The strap cannot be tested without welding it
to something, so testing the D-Ring only is of limited
value). We can produce welded assemblies using D-Rings
and Straps. And finally, if you have an application
requiring a D-Ring type tie down that is different then
what we show---give us a call, we have others and we can
design to suit.
T12200A -
Linked Tiedown Assemblies or Kits
The Linked Tiedown is typically used to install along the
side rails of flat beds or steel platforms and used as a tie
down point. It offers an excellent range of motion to
align with the lash angle. The MTVR program utilized
this item and it was supplied hot dipped galvanized, followed
with a black matte "Dacrokote" finish to reduce the
visibility in combat. Thousands and Thousands are in the field
right now, supporting the warfighter.
S33000A-C00 - Flush Tiedown Ring
Designed to Swivel and Swing! This tie-down rotates 360° about its vertical axis and a minimum of 150° about its horizontal axis. It is designed to swivel and swing to the tension load plane of the tiedown within these angles.
S33000E-C00 - Raised Swivel Tiedown Ring
The S33000E series tiedown conforms to Mil Std 209. This style incorporates a low profile, fully weldable housing that can be surface mounted rather than flush mounted like it's sister tiedown, the S33000A series.
It rotates 360° about the vertical plane and 150° horizontal.
S33000H - Tiedown, Flush Mounted - "Large Tiedown Provision"
The S33000H Tiedown is a much larger version of the S33000A
cargo tiedown offering a significant increase in load capacity.
It meets the requirements for the large cargo tiedown provision
of Mil Std 209(k). The fully weldable steel housing contains the
forged tiedown ring assembly that can swivel 360 degrees while
also swinging up to 150 degrees on the horizontal axis, so that
it can assume the angle of “pull”, without a reduction in
strength.
T12000D -The 3-in-1 Tiedown
Incorporates 2 MIL STD 209 tie-downs and one ISO3874 weldable housing. Hot dipped galvanized.
T42000C - Very Shallow Combo Twistlock & Tiedown Set
The T42000C series Tiedown features a "screwdown" shallow
depth ISO Twistlock and two Mil Std 209 Tie downs, all within
one cast steel weldable housing. This tiedown is beneficial when
space is at a premium. This very shallow design incorporates all
of the same features as the T12000D, including a mechanism to
prevent unwanted "unscrewing" or loosing while the vehicle is
traveling over rough terrain.
